Some say that blind dates never work...but We'd say different!...
Once Upon a Time...McKenzie and I worked together at Seagull Book!! On one random day she came up to me and said, "Hey Julianne...Guess what!!! You're going on a date with my brother!!" I just shrugged my shoulders and said, "Well...Okay!!" Then she went on to tell me that she was telling her brother all about me! And he had asked what I looked like. Next thing I knew; they were coming in on a day that I worked to buy "Christmas Presents" for their nieces and nephews! ( He obviously didn't know this until later, but my first thought was Daaanng he's cute!)
I guess I passed his inspection because a few weeks later he FINALLY called me to go on a double date with him and McKenzie! I was so nervous before he came to pick me up...I told my mom that I was convinced that I did NOT want to go on this date with him, but quickly to my surprise...he was easy to talk to and fun to be around! Plus McKenzie and her super funny date, Josh, kept me laughing! And another girl, Nikki, who we worked with, and her husband came also! So off we went to Big Kahuna's Pizza and ate some ridiculously big pizza! We went back to Josh's house to watch a movie and play some games! Sounds like a simple date...but let me tell you, it was a BLAST!!!! We even ended the night with a bang...(literally)...Josh cracked his bumper on a big snow pile at the end of my circle! You know how porch scenes are usually awkward? Well this one wasn't only just a perfect hug...but we made plans for him to give me a call the next week!!!
I swear those were the longest three days of my life!!!
Our second date was that following Friday! To my unknown surprise...that Monday morning I received a text message telling me that he was selfish and wanted to see me again before he left for Denver that Wednesday!! We've spent all of our free time together ever since!! I'm such a lucky girl!!:)...and he better say he's a lucky guy!!;)
